Happy Independence Day to every Indian, whose heart resonates only one name that has created exceptional success stories from some time now- India/ Hindustan (As our country is fondly called in the language Hindi)! Today, India has completed 73 years of its independence, but only one thought that comes to our mind is- Has this independence truly made its way to our hearts? Have we allowed ourselves to be free of the thoughts and feelings that cause inhibitions in our minds to stop at certain points in our lives? Honestly, we aren’t really free in this free and independent world, let alone the country! There are times when we want to go ahead with something but we simply stop, wondering what would people think or feel about us. APPRECIATING THE KANJEEVARAM SAREE THAT WE ALL KNOW

The ethereal Kanjeevaram (Kanchipuram) saree is a result of the hard work of weavers from the town of Kanchipuram, located in Tamil Nadu and has been named after the same. This saree has even been given the Geographical Indication tag by the Government of India in the past, it is this special to our country! Moving on from the informative portion, let’s talk about the reason why this saree needs a special kind of appreciation. ( Image:   Our Olive green and blue peacock design Kanjeevaram saree) ·        This nine- yard saree is made up of heavy silk and gold cloth and is worn on special occasions in South India. ·        The weaving process of Kanjeevaram saree is unique and different from other silk sarees. The silk is from Southern India, while the silver zari and pure gold are from the state of Gujarat. The body and the border of the saree are woven separately and then joined together, this joint is so strong that even if the saree tears, the border does not get de
